No. Friendly Memberships are designed for people to sign up without a monthly membership fee and just pay for the nights they want to attend. People who turn up as guests on the night will need to register their details as well as pay their entry fee.

For guests and friendly members, club night is £7 upon entry. Paid members have their club night fee included in their monthly membership fee.
It depends on the game and how popular it is. The best advice is to jump on our Discord Server as a friendly member and look at the current games that are being played and speak to the members who play it. We will always do our best to promote games people are interested in playing and encourage some of our members to get involved.
Most popular games are Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer 40K, Age of Sigmar. We have tables and gaming boards available to bring whatever you’d like to play.
Yes – and we actively encourage it. The bigger the variety of games played in the club, the stronger the community.

Hornby Village Institute
There is limited parking outside the venue and in the car park by the river in Hornby which is £1. Paid Members get free parking but are subject to spaces being available.
Buses 81 & 82 stop right outside the venue on the Lancaster – Kirkby Lonsdale Route. The times are not currently compatible with getting home again from club night but some evening times are supposed to be coming in July 2024 so this should be an option.
Yes – bring in what you like, if it does not smell strongly and make it unpleasant for other members. You will be asked to take it outside. You should not bring anything in that can stain the venues furniture or floors. We also remind people to try and support the club by buying drinks and snacks from the club.
Yes – the club provides a range of drinks and snacks to buy on the night. Some nights the venue bar might be open for other functions which can sometimes be used. The bar/kitchen will normally be open for tournaments in the main hall.
Members need to be 16 years old to attend a club night on their own. Under 16s are allowed to be members and attend club nights but they must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or adult with responsibility that is over 18.
As of the initial club launch, the club will have very limited scenery and will rely on members bringing their own for the first couple of months. We will be looking to invest in this as a priority in the first 6 months as well as 3D printing.
Membership cards and Lanyards will be handed out on the next club night unless there is a delay in stock, in which case, it will be as soon as possible. T-Shirts and Hoodies are handed out after the 3rd monthly membership is paid, or immediately if the 3 months are paid up front.
No, memberships that are eligible for lanyards, t-shirts or hoodies only receive one of each of the relevant membership status. The membership page just illustrates that there is a difference in the lanyard, hoodie or t-shirt you receive for each tier.
Membership Fees are due on the 1st of each month.
